Job Description
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of backend services using Golang.
- Stay hands-on with coding, code reviews, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Drive system design decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Design and build APIs, distributed services, and event-driven systems.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications, databases, and services.
- Take ownership of production issues, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices across development, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with DevOps/infrastructure teams on cloud deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Lead technical initiatives and help shape the team's engineering roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience building production-grade backend systems in Golang.
- Strong knowledge of backend architecture, system design, and distributed systems.
- Experience building and scaling REST APIs and backend services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with messaging, streaming, or event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of scalability, resilience, availability, and failure handling.
- Experience working on high-volume or real-time systems.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering and product teams.
